I own a laundromat on north 3rd ave in Wausau Wi. I have been paying close attention to the water rate hike that was proposed for this June. I am worried because we already absorbed a 30 percent increase this last year and half And with this proposed one it`s going to be tough to make it when we are higher then outlying areas. I believe everyone will have to treat their water for PFAS eventually. I think there has to be a way to ease into this so I don`t have raise my prices so high that the outlying business get an unfair advantage. I also believe that we cater to a customer base that is lower income who don`t have a lot of money and cleaning their clothes is necessity, and will hurt them greatly. |
