Dear Public Service Commission, As a large energy user in west-central Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin-Stout supports the Elk Creek Solar Project and encourages you, as the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, to support as well and approve Elk Creek Solar`s Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity application. UW-Stout`s long term sustainability plan includes being carbon neutral by 2050. With that goal we realize the benefits of these types of projects, which are needed to help Wisconsin residents and other businesses and industries achieve their sustainability goals. The use and generation of renewable energy sources will continue to be at the forefront of people`s expectations. Large projects such as this one would help prove that the possibilities of photovoltaic production can be achieved in Wisconsin. We hope to see this industry continue to spread and share its benefits with all. Based on the reasoning above, UW-Stout respectfully requests that you support the development, construction, and operation of Elk Creek Solar to provide clean, reliable energy in Dunn, County, WI.
