Application to Increase Water Rates

To increase water rates, a utility must first request an Application from the Public Service Commission (Commission) and then submit the completed application to the Commission’s Electronic Records Filing system (ERF). To request an Application, fill out the request below. The Application can be requested from either the municipal utility directly or its consultant(s).

In order to have your rate case based on a 2024 test year, the applications must be filed with the PSC prior to August 1, 2024. Applications filed after August 1, 2024, must be based on a 2025 test year.

After submitting a request, an Application will be e-mailed back to the requester as an Excel file attachment. Each request will be tailored to a specific utility and will include historical information from the applicant’s PSC annual reports.
